Your parquet floor has become shabby?
Sanding the floor is a possible option for making the surface shine again. You should not be shy of a certain amount of effort. We provide you with the most important information:

What does sanding the floor requires?

It requires experience, handicraft skills and appropriate tools. A certain amount of dust and noise disturbance must be expected. A hand-held machine must be used to rework at corners, doorways and walls – which requires time and skill. In general, one coarse and 2 fine sanding passes are performed. Then 2-3 lacquer, varnish or oil coats must be applied. The area cannot be walked on for a lengthy time.

Can I sand any parquet floor?

Basically, yes! A different number of sanding passes are possible for a parquet floor, depending on the type of laying, the top wear layer thickness and the surface. This is checked and decided on site by a professional tradesperson.

Will my floor look like new again after sanding?

Yes and no. Scratches, stains and damage can be largely removed. Nonetheless, it must be said that a surface sanded on site is never comparable with a factory surface in terms of quality and appearance.

Our partners have many years of experience and plenty of competence in the renovation of floors.

The old tile or stone floor is no longer what it once was. You miss warm feet, and have to cope with a large number of cracks and scratches? The floor is to be removed? What you should know:

How time-consuming is it to remove the old floor covering?

In most cases, very time-consuming. Above all, it depends on the age of the floor, the type of subfloor and the adhesive used. You have to expect a lot of dust and noise. After removing the floor, it is often necessary to repair the damaged subfloor so that it is once again ready for laying a new floor. Residues of the old flooring often have to be removed by grinding.

Do I have to remove the tiles?

No, not necessarily. You can
  • ... lay a floating parquet floor. The build-up height and poor acoustics must be noted (high noise development in the room)
  • .... bond the entire parquet area – more time-consuming preparation of the subfloor

Or...

The floor can be walked on immediately

You do not even have to empty the room. You simply move the furniture out of the way. The room can be entered immediately after laying.

Simple dismantling possible

The system solution can be removed without residues. The original flooring is left intact. Regardless of whether a historical floor worth keeping or simply a rental that has to be handed back in its original condition after use. Even if, after years, you want a new parquet floor the easy dismantling offers an uncomplicated renovation solution.

Transparent costs

The work steps can be precisely calculated as the subfloor is left untouched. You know precisely how many mm2 – then you also know how much the bill will be. Provided additional levelling and adjustment work is not necessary.
